Dr Keagan Werner-Gibbings is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, qualified in treating the full range of vascular disease. He has a special interest in the treatment of complex aortic pathology, venous disease and limb threatening ischaemia.

He graduated medicine from the University of Sydney with honours in 2010 before undertaking his residency at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney. He completed his Master of Surgery from the University of Sydney before starting Vascular Surgical training with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2014.

Over the course of his training he gained experience at some of Australia’s foremost teaching hospitals including the Royal Brisbane Hospital, the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne and Concord Hospital in Sydney. Dr Werner-Gibbings was mentored by Australia’s best vascular surgeons and gained insights into a diverse array innovative treatments and surgical techniques.

In 2018, Dr Werner-Gibbings completed his Fellowship exam and was immediately accepted as a Senior Clinical Fellow in Vascular Surgery at the world-renowned St Thomas’ Hospital in London, UK. While there he worked alongside pioneering best-practice vascular surgeons Dr Stephen Black and Dr Prakash Saha on treatments for deep venous disease. He also collaborated with Professor Bijan Modarai and Dr Said Abisi, world leaders in minimally invasive treatment of complex aortic pathology. While at St Thomas’, Dr Werner-Gibbings’ research was published multiple times.

Dr Werner-Gibbings provides the best possible results for his patients with his unique experience, extensive understanding of world leading vascular surgery techniques and through close collaboration with his surgical colleagues.

His public hospital appointment is at the Nepean Hospital in Western Sydney.

He sees public and private patients in his rooms in Penrith, Chatswood, Richmond and Dee Why.

He operates privately at the Mater Hospital in North Sydney, Nepean Private Hospital, Macquarie University Hospital and Strathfield Private Hospital.
